This is a portrait of, from left to right, Justices Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanuagh and Clarence Thomas. This is also a portrait of male contempt for women, from left to right, cold contempt, hot contempt and long held contempt. This is a portrait of three regular men in their regular clothes, how they might look around the house, in t-shirts and flannel. They are standing in front of the curtain that is traditionally used for Supreme Court photos but they do not belong there. They are out of place.
This is my first take on the overturning of Roe v Wade. It will not be my last.
Colleen, you have all the expressions of real contempt in these A-Holes faces.
What a powerful painting! ✊
Can’t wait to see more! I love the painting of your Mom! Very sweet ❣️
